"SCHOOL DAY OF NON-VIOLENCE AND PEACE"

This day is also known as: "World or International Day of Non-violence and Peace". We celebrate it on January 30th, the date of Mahatma Gandhi's death anniversary.
Here you have some quotes by Mahatma Gandhi:

“When it (violence) appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent.”
"Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony."
"Hate the sin, love the sinner."

"An eye for an eye makes the world blind."

Can you answer some questions about him?

1. When and where was he born?
2. When did he die?
3. How did he die?
4. What does the word "Mahatma" mean?

You can find very interesting information about Gandhi and watch some videos about his life here: Biography

Here you have the song that we are going to learn to celebrate this day. Firstly we'll watch these two videos. I hope you like them.

This video is from Shimon Peres's 80th birthday. President Bill Clinton sings John Lennon's 'Imagine' with 16-year old Israeli singer Liel, 40 Israeli children, and 40 Arab children! It's quite an inspirational piece!

THE CHRISTMAS TREE GAME

A little bird told me that he would like to play this game again.
Here you have the challenge: light up the Christmas Tree by connecting all the wires and light bulbs to the electrical source. You can rotate the wires and the bulbs by clicking them.

Don't forget to play the other games to review the past tense, please.
